Hi, I'm Fernando Sepulveda— I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at The University of Texas at El Paso. I'm passionate about using technology to solve meaningful problems, especially in areas like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, automation, and accessible design.

I built a versatile foundation across software engineering, autonomous systems, and advanced manufacturing through hands-on academic research and industry internships. My early research in the additive manufacturing space inspired me to found my own 3D printing marketplace startup—an idea that later took first place in a university pitch competition. Alongside my entrepreneurial ventures, I developed automated enterprise cloud tools, contributed to smart factory machine learning initiatives, and published research on cyber-secure adaptive cruise control for autonomous vehicles.

Currently

I am pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science with a specialized focus on artificial intelligence, deep learning, and computer vision. My day-to-day work sits at the intersection of advanced research and practical application: I design computer vision architectures and autonomous navigation systems as an AI research intern, while also serving as a Graduate Research Fellow where I mentor student entrepreneurs to turn AI-driven academic concepts into scalable, market-ready startups.

In the future

As a lifelong learner who believes that consistency and quality drive success, I plan to continuously expand my technical mastery—including contemplating a Ph.D. down the line. I want to work on cutting-edge technologies that provide tangible real-world value, particularly within autonomous vehicle systems, while channeling my entrepreneurial spirit into launching a business that directly benefits society. Ultimately, my goal is to lift as I climb by giving back to the community, establishing scholarships, and creating meaningful learning opportunities for young aspiring students.
